In this blogpost I am sharing details of an event being organised by a number of people involved with the People’s Health Movement in the UK:
“An Introduction to Health Activism”: A free People’s Health Movement workshop
This workshop is intended to enable those concerned about people’s health in a global context to make new connections, share experiences and get involved in health activism. The workshop will emphasise the work of the People’s Health Movement around the world as well as in the UK. It is also a chance for those people already involved/yet to be involved to contribute towards the UK’s preparations for the forthcoming People’s Health Assembly 3 in July in South Africa (see http://www.phmovement.org/en/pha3 for details). We are lucky to have a number of very influential speakers in the morning with interactive workshops to further develop ideas in the afternoon. This workshop will take place in room G3 in the main building of the School of Oriental African Studies on Saturday 31 March 2012, 10.30-16.00 hours.

People interested in attending should email their name, organisation (if applicable) and reasons why they have an interest in global health to phmukcoordinator AT yahoo.co.uk.
Previous meetings have been extremely inspiring and drawn activists from all across the world to debate the future of global health and people’s governance. Help us grow the movement!
